Hey creature, that has mighty potential in my opinion.
The strongest part would have to be the offbeat triballistic bongo/xylophone thing you have going there. I definately think this element can be further emphasised by say, the beat.
The other element which I liked was the "chemical brothers" sounding arpeggiod synth you have at the end section.
The first few bars of the song kept my interest, but kind of nodded off at the main melodic bit. It kinda sounded too softsynth, computerised and midi if you know what i mean. The melody wasn't too catchy either in my opinion.
I think the other let down was that you changed ideas too often. The key to breakbeat is simplicity and a few basic STRONG (shake'yo'booty) elements.
Hence, I think you should emphasise the bongo bit and make that the focal point. Then, maybe give a more broken beat (Aphex Twin type) rhythm to the song (maybe as fillers). Still keep it 4x4 breakbeat but have more off an upbeat twisted element to the drums. Twisted is good.
A touch of vocals would have made the song too. And add a few darker sounding elements. Dark is good.
I would be interested to give this one a makeover with your permission, I would love to have my cheeky greasy hands on this and have a play.
If you would like that, email me rwengle-at-hotmail-dot-com
I will need to know what sequencer you use, and maybe have you upload samples / instrument parts in their song entirity.
(Ie. whole song but drums only as one wave file, then have whole song but synth only as one wave file, then have whole song but bongos only as another wave file etc.)

Cheers for the review mate, bloody comliment having any of it associatec with the bros. I would love you to get your greasy mits on it, i reckon you could do a lot with it having heard your other stuff, but probley not before january for variouse reasons. Vocals would be quite tricky for me cos no one i knows can sing for nuts, i could go for darker talking (faithless kinda thing) or i could mix and mash some vocals up a bit for fun. Oh yeah, i'm using logic on a really shitty mac btw have you had the hotmail inbox upgrade, (i guess so) cos if not 3-4 wav's are gonna be a bit of a problem
